Student Debt and Higher Education

The video One Trillion Dollars, Student Debt and Higher Education: Greg Gottesman at TEDxSeattle  talks about an issue. The issue that he talks about is that there is One trillion dollars in student debt in the Unites States. There is more student debt than any other debt in the world. From this video I have learned that tuition is up a thousand percent since 1978. I also learned that you pay 1000 dollars a month for your college tuition. Also learned that when I go to college I have to save a lot of money to pay off my student loans.

Banking

In this everfi module I learned many new things. One thing that I learned is that putting your money in the bank is a smart idea. It's also a safe place for your money. You also earn interest on your money. But, there you have to know the different kind of banks to put your safe money into. One type of bank is a retail bank. A retail bank is when a bank executes transactions directly with costumers, rather than corporations or other banks. Another type of bank is credit union. A credit union is when a non- profit making money cooperative whose members can borrow from pooled deposits at low interest rates. The last type of bank is a bank online. In the future i believe that i would put my money in the bank to keep it safe. I would recommend it to everyone.  

Savings

 

This module help me understand many important things. One important thing that this everfi module has taught me was that saving money is important. You can save your money for many different things, important or unimportant. you can save money to pay for college in the future, and you can also save money to go shopping later. I would advise everyone to save money. I know that i would definitely save money in my future.   

Choosing A computer

In choosing a computer module I learned that when you want to choose a computer you eliminate what you don't want. For example, make a list of what you are looking for, as the teacher told me to do in my video, and hand it to the employee so that they can help you choose the best computer that you are looking for. I learned that there are different software . One software is commercial software is when usually run by a company and a copy righted. That means you have to pay for a license. A open software company usually involves a lot of people working together. You can change the software or use it to create another software.

What I've Learned About Blogs

I've learned many new things about blogs. Blogs are very helpful and interesting. The way I describe a blog is that it's a regularly updated website about any information of your choice. One thing that I have learned about blogs is that they have very useful information. Another thing is that you can write posts on your blog. So it can also just be a personal diary. One my teacher first introduced me to a blog I thought it would be a waist of time. But one you start posting new posts once in a while, or even everyday, it become interesting and fun.

My First Week at Curtis High School- Fall 2014

My first week at Curtis High School as a sophomore was not that bad. I actually felt like a freshman because i got lost a couple times. But im getting use to my schedule now. Im glad to be back in school, even tho i had summer school. I miss the crowded hallways,friends,teachers,even the work. I feel like my first week is going just the way i planned. Im on a team,not starting off on a bad start, and handing in everything on time. It still needs a little work but i guess im getting there. Sometimes its hard, but sometimes its easy. The key is to not think so hard if your doing good or not and just do it.
